Infracon, a council controlled organisation that provides utilities services to Hastings District Council, uses KernMobile to streamline and automate its business processes for its field service management.
Infracon approached KernMobile when the range of field services
it provided grew to an extent that was hard to manage by paper
based methods. Infracon needed a mobile solution that could be
configured accordingly to satisfy the requirements of the various
job types carried out in the field.
The KernMobile Solution
KernMobile developed various electronic job forms to be used for
data capture and works maintenance of assets including: water
networks, stormwater networks, wastewater networks, pump station
inspections, and reinstatement of road surfaces. The Kern solution
has been integrated with the existing Hansen (Infor) Customer
Service system and Works Management System at the Hastings District
Council, as well as with MapInfo.
